Bright and tart, juicy red fruit, mild tannins, nice after a few days open, with the sun out, the Canucks up (over the Sharks, 1-0 in the series), the wind breezing in from the patio, mint growing, sky blue, sweet potato fries broiling.

Tinhorn Creek Oldfield Series 2Bench White 2010
Loved this, though, to be honest, I'm writing this well after we finished the last drop, so this isn't much of a review. Instead I'll simply recall a pleasant random memory of a time we were in Greece, eating breakfast in the cool lower room if a hostel, eggs scrambled well. Visited the Parthenon that day, climbed up the winding route to the top, squinting at the sky and the darkened marble, smooth from two thousands years of dusty wind.
This wine, a gift from a friend, was no less pleasant.
