Codorniu Seleccion Raventos Cava

Great Cava, lots of flavor, tart, minerally, herby. Our tomatoes wilted on the porch because we didn't water them on the mosy sunburst day of the year so far. Tonight was a bit of a birthday celebration for my palindrome, a nice Thursday night throwdown with music, Cava, cake, Scotch, friends and the cool B.C. breeze.

Villa Teresa Prosecco

I like cava over prosecco generally, but this stuff is tasty: tart, fizzy, lemony and refreshing. A good match for out chickeny stir fry. My legs are a bit sore from our hiking Mt Gardner on Bowen Island yesterday. But this sparkling wine is giving me strength.
