Stellenbosch Jardin Sauvignon Blanc 2010

A crisp, refreshing South African white that mellowed nicely after a couple days open in the fridge. Lemon-lime, mineral, slate. Sipped while eating delicious squash/carrot/curry/lentil soup and watching The West Wing, season 3. Finished all three, in fact.

El Cortejo Malbec/Syrah 2010

Fruity and fresh, juicy, cherry, raspberry, lemon, pepper, some leather. Very nice. Great value. I've been avoiding malbecs lately, for no reason.

Just got back from a nice, brief trip to Seattle, in which we drank coffee, ate a couple donuts, had pizza at Serious Pie, had pie at A La Mode, slept in and paid duty at the border.
