The Canadian mens hockey team is up 2-0 against the Slovaks in the semi-finals of the Olympics. Good news. I'm sipping this red in their honour. I've already reviewed it on this blog, so not much point doing it again... ah, what the hay:
It's milk chocolately, low tannins and bright acidity. Sour cherry, mineral and white pepper are some of the flavours rushing at me.
The women just lost in the gold medal curling match to Sweden. Good showing though. Going to see mens bronze medal curling tomorrow and the closing ceremonies on Sunday.
This wine has a short finish. I'm about to make popcorn. Hope Canada scores a few more.
